Mr. Quentin DeWitt, Director of Bands, Guitar & Music Theory

Mr. DeWitt comes to Rocky from Moscow, Idaho where he maintained a busy career as music educator, artist and clinician. Mr. DeWitt was an Assistant Director with the University of Idaho Vandal Marching Band, director of the Northwest Percussion Project, Principal Timpanist and Manager of the Washington-Idaho Symphony, and was owner and teacher of DeWitt's Drumworks, LLC private lesson studio. Mr. DeWitt's busy performing schedule included Border Highlander's Pipes and Drums, Snake River Six, Rendezvous Chamber Orchestra, Icicle Creek Summer Symphony, Walla Walla Symphony, and the Palouse Chorale Society. He was also regularly engaged as a guest conductor, clinician and adjudicator at festivals throughout the Northwest.

Mr. DeWitt is endorsed as a regional artist with Adams Musical Instruments, Aquarian Drumheads, Pearl Drums & Percussion, Ron Vaughn Percussion and Sabien. He is also a member of the Vic Firth Educational Team, and the Hudson Music Publishers TIP Program.

Our School Rocky Mountain High School is the fifth high school in Meridian, Idaho. Opened in 2008, the school is a 272,000 square foot state of the art facility sitting on 55 acres of land. Looking out the windows, one can catch glimpses of the Boise Mountains, the Owyhee Range, the western Treasure Valley, and the northern reaches of the Owyhee Desert.
